Beaches

The beautiful Mediterranean beaches are only 40 minutes away so you can enjoy a fantastic day out and top up your tan. If you would like to explore the coastline the southern most village nearest the spanish border is only 2 hours and you can visit the different villages for the fish restaurants to taste the catch of the day.

Sigean

One of our favourite days out the safari park at sigean is fantastic place to visit. Take a picnic and drive through the bears, lions and different array of animals in the vast open space they have, then park up and walk around the park taking in the breathtaking views and have lunch overlooking the beautiful estuary with the flamingos and other seabirds in their natural habitat.

Spain

The spanish border is only 1.5 hours away and the Costa Brava and beaches is around 2-2.5 hours away. Barcelona is 3 hours and there is lots to visit there including the zoo and forever being finished sagrada Familia church.

La Cite

Visit the beautiful medieval castle of carcassone with it's museums, church with singing choir and excellent shops including the fabulous artisan chocolatier.

You can go conoeing, visit the meditarranean gardens, eat at one of the restaurants, taste local real ales or visit the caveau for a tasting of some of their award winning wines.

Water parks

Water parks are great for adults and children and make a great fun alternative to the beach. There are some near us at Port Leucate, Saint Cyprien and Le Cap D'Agde. Further information such as price and opening times can be found at the following link
